Summer 2021 Travel Essentials

Summer 2021 Travel Essentials

As Summer 2021 continues to roar on, a beloved activity that was put on hold for many of us in the last year and half is picking up, and picking up fast. That activity is travelling! Whether it's for a long overdue vacation, to visit a relative, or you've been bitten by the travel bug, now seems like the time to travel for many. For a great deal of us, including myself, it's been a while, and a lot has changed in the last year. Here at No Days Wasted we thought it would be beneficial to write a blog on how to travel in style this summer. I did my research and put together a list of 7 travel essentials that you should bring with you for any of the travelling you do this summer. See the list below, I hope you enjoy it!

  1. A Good Toiletry Bag

While you probably already have one by now, the importance of a functional toiletry bag cannot be denied. A toiletry bag is the best way to keep all of your hygienic essentials organized. Not only can it keep some of your more sensitive personal items hidden and protected, but it also serves as a way to ensure that you have everything when packing. This summer, toiletry bags come in all sorts of stylish and awesome designs, and I can assure you, that you'll be able to find one that matches your persona if you look hard enough. These bags usually also come with great compartmentalized storage. Even amazon offers a great collection. Note that if you’re travelling via plane, a toiletry bag does not mean that you can bypass some of the maximum liquid requirements if it is not being placed in checked in luggage. If you’re planning on keeping it in your carry on, make sure that you don’t exceed any of the liquid requirements, so you aren’t forced to throw away your favourite cologne or perfume at security.

  1. A Polaroid Camera

Polaroid cameras are trending this summer. Whether it’s the vintage feel of the photos, or that memories are instantly metabolized into physical copies, you'll want to bring a Polaroid camera with you. I can vouch that taking Polaroid shots is an amazing way to help you remember your travel experience forever. And it helps eliminate the chance that your photos will be buried deep in your camera roll as time moves on. Something I always do is put all of my Polaroid photos from a trip into a binder as soon as I get home. This helps me keep track of all the awesome things I did and makes for a great conversation piece when people come over. If you want to give this a try, be sure to let me or anyone on our team know how it goes!

  1. Hydration Replenisher by No Days Wasted

Hydration Replenisher is a travel essential. In combination with the particularly hot summer we've been having, and the fact that travelling can be very dehydrating, staying adequately hydrated during your journey is more important than ever. In fact, the actual process of travelling is probably where Hydration Replenisher is most critical. Planes can be very dry, which has only been amplified with the increase of filtration systems. And while these filtration systems do lots to keep us safe, the trade off is that you may be more dehydrated if you travel by plane. Additionally, long car rides can be very dehydrating, mainly due to the heat and that you're probably not drinking as much water as you normally would, to prevent having to take too many stops. Often, you won’t even know that you're dehydrated, however, you know something isn’t right during the first day or two of your trip. Hydration Replenisher has an effective blend of electrolytes and cane sugar to help significantly improve hydration without having to consume lots of water, which can put an end to some of the first day woes of trip after a long journey. Be sure to read more about Hydration Replenisher on our website.

  1. A Spray Bottle

A spray bottle serves as a cool and innovative way to help keep your clothes crisp and wrinkle free. Often while travelling, you won’t have access to some of the same luxuries you would at home, such as your trusty iron. Whether you have an important meeting, or a dinner planned at a great restaurant during your travels, you'll want to look sharp. By spraying some hot water on your hanging clothes, the night before wearing them, you’ll have a good chance at reducing some of the tedious wrinkles that may have been produced in your luggage. Not only that, but it'll help make your clothes feel crisper, giving you that extra confidence boost.

  1. DHM Detox by No Days Wasted

For many of us travelling is all about taking personal time and having a blast while creating new experiences. You've probably taken a few days off work, or just needed a weekend getaway, unless you're going on a business trip. Nonetheless, you’ll probably celebrate a few nights, and this may or may not include having a few alcoholic beverages. And if you're anything like me, you'll want to maximize your experience to the fullest. If you do end up consuming some alcoholic beverages, some of the after effects may lead to you not being as productive the next day and ultimately not maximizing your trip. DHM Detox by No Days Wasted can serve as a great tool to help get some of that time and productivity back so that you can be sure to check off all the activities and events that you were planning on doing. DHM Detox should always be a travel essential! Be sure to check it out here.

  1. A “Good Looking” Raincoat

The importance of taking a good-looking raincoat with you during your travels should get the same attention as bringing an extra pair of socks and underwear. Now could be the time to go out and buy a raincoat that not only looks great, but makes you feel great. This way you'll want to wear it, and it'll allow you to power through whatever weather gets thrown at you during your trip, although I hope it’s only the best. Life’s short enough as it, and there should be no reason that weather should deter you from completing all the plans that you've started thinking about months before the vacation. In fact, some rain can be enjoyable, as long as you're prepared with a rain-coat that looks great on you.

  1. A Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot

In the Summer of 2021, a portable Wi-Fi hotspot is a travel essential. Purchasing a portable Wi-Fi hotspot enables you to stay connected even in places with a bad connection. No matter your destination, you'll feel confident and secure that you're connected, unless your goal is to get off the grid for a few days. This hotspot will enable you to be able to check out the weather, cool things to do, or even respond to an urgent work email that just couldn’t wait, even if you’re visiting your aunt and uncle's farm, which hasn’t had Wi-Fi in years. These hotspots can often be purchased in the electronic section of your local big retailer.

I hope that this was helpful and that now you feel prepared to travel this summer, and have all the essentials you need neatly packed with you.

All the best,
Marley
